FleetBoost is electrifying Europe’s transport routes: Mobile fast-charging infrastructure and the all-in-one solution “FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT” make their debut at IAA Transportation

(Hanover, September 14, 2026) The electrification of European heavy-duty trucking faces a dilemma: trucking companies won’t invest in electric trucks as long as there is a lack of charging infrastructure along their routes, and charging infrastructure won’t be built as long as there are no electric trucks. The German startup FleetBoost solves this chicken-and-egg problem with mobile fast-charging systems that can be set up decentralized along Europe’s major transport corridors without building permits or grid expansion: park, plug in, charge.
At IAA Transportation in Hanover (September 15–20, 2026, Booth J66), the company is also unveiling FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT for the first time—an all-in-one solution that bundles electric commercial vehicles, charging infrastructure, and electricity into a transparent per-kilometer price, thereby making e-mobility directly comparable to diesel for the first time.

Green Routes Through Europe—No Need to Wait for the Grid

In areas where there is currently no adequate grid connection, the FleetBooster systems (20- and 40-foot containers with storage capacities of 1.06 and 2.1 MWh, respectively) create ready-to-use charging points with up to 800 kW of charging power. They are mobile and can therefore be deployed wherever energy is needed: at depots, logistics hubs, and rest stops along major routes throughout Europe. Because the systems do not require building permits and are installed using a “plug-and-play” approach, charging infrastructure can be established in weeks rather than years.
A key driver of sustainability: FleetBoosters directly integrate decentralized power generation facilities such as wind turbines and solar panels. Green electricity is stored where it is generated and flows directly into the batteries of electric trucks. Upon request, FleetBoost handles the entire operation under a Charging-as-a-Service model—with no upfront investment required from the customer.

World Premiere: FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT – E-Mobility at a Price Per Kilometer

With FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT, the company is unveiling an all-in-one solution for the first time at the IAA that combines the three biggest hurdles to fleet electrification into a single offering: the electric commercial vehicle (manufacturer-independent and tailored to the usage profile), the appropriate charging infrastructure, and the required electricity—billed as a transparent price per kilometer.”
This makes e-mobility directly comparable to diesel for the first time. The calculation takes into account all economic factors that are often overlooked in everyday operations: revenue from the GHG quota, particularly when operating publicly accessible charging infrastructure, as well as the significant savings on truck tolls for zero-emission vehicles.
At the heart of FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT is a digital calculation tool. Customers can run simulations for various scenarios based on their own routes and vehicle profiles and see at a glance when switching to e-mobility becomes cost-effective.
“Many decision-makers still believe that electric trucks are a money-losing proposition,” says Rumpf. “With FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT, we’re proving the opposite: If you add up GHG quotas, toll exemptions, and affordable green electricity, you’ll see that e-mobility is already worthwhile today. And because everything comes from a single source, the customer doesn’t have to worry about a thing—except for driving.”

For shippers, freight forwarders, and subcontractors

FleetBoost TRUCK FLAT is aimed at large shippers and freight forwarders throughout Europe, as well as medium-sized transportation companies. Through a subcontracting model, even smaller trucking companies can operate electric vehicles without incurring their own investment risk. This is a key component in establishing electrification across the entire industry.
